Finally got home a little while ago and Jazz came running to greet me. I picked up that little guy and carried him all over the house. He was not in any hurry for me to put him down. In fact he cuddled right up in my arms. He missed me!
It was a long trip back from Seattle. I was in the center seat again, not ideal for such a long flight. But I made the best of it. Several times I nearly ended up with my head on the shoulder of the man next to me. I kept falling asleep and I would loose my head. Ha! Now that's funny!
It's always a little weird to get home when I've been surrounded by people every day and every evening. It's a bit of a downer to walk into an empty house...still not used to it. Sorry Jazz, I suppose it's not entirely empty now is it?
I had dinner earlier on the plane. It was one of those tidy little box meals for $5. And...it was surprisingly good for that price. Little can of tuna and crackers, small slice of cheese, tiny jar of humous with pita chips, little bite of chocolate. And I treated myself to one of those little bottles of red wine. What more could one want? So, I'm not really hungry and I'll probably just go and watch a little T.V., try to unwind, and call it a night. It's time to give myself a break... Tomorrow will have to be a very busy day to make up for being gone all week. I think I'll even wait until morning to unpack. I'm bushed!!!
